Even though the heating season has started in Southborough MA, it's not too late to make an appointment for a heating tune up. In fact, it's a good idea – your system will run better and last longer if you do so. Once the heating season starts, our schedule does get a bit busier so don't delay--you should schedule a tune-up to ensure your family's safety and your heating system's efficiency.

All furnaces produce carbon monoxide, an odorless but deadly gas. However, a clean, efficiently burning furnace with proper venting produces less and it escapes to the outdoor environment. Dust, dirt, and corrosion can build-up causing improper burning, leading to inefficiency and safety hazards.

In addition to dusting and cleaning your system, Rodenhiser inspects the vents to be sure they are drafting properly. Rodenhiser will check all the electric, gas or oil connections to see that they are tight; test the motors; check your thermostat and system start-up; lubricate moving parts if necessary, and visually inspect the burner and heat exchanger. Dirty burners or a cracked heat exchanger are not only inefficient, but can be a safety hazard.
